Yash-starrer Toxic opened with a worldwide gross of ₹140.75 crore, according to Sacnilk’s early trend report. The figure places the film ahead of the first-day worldwide collections recorded for Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Prabhas’s Adipurush.
The film’s opening came despite negative-to-mixed reviews. In India, Toxic registered ₹101.10 crore in net earnings across 24 thousand 579 shows. Its domestic gross stood at ₹120.75 crore, while the overseas market contributed ₹20 crore on the opening day.
Toxic’s opening-day figures
The reported first-day collection breakdown is:
- India net: ₹101.10 crore
- India gross: ₹120.75 crore
- Overseas gross: ₹20 crore
- Worldwide gross: ₹140.75 crore
With its worldwide total, Toxic moved past Adipurush, which recorded ₹128.08 crore, and Jawan, whose opening-day worldwide collection was ₹129.13 crore. The film therefore placed above both releases in the comparison of day-one Indian film openings provided in the report.
Films that remain ahead
Toxic did not surpass every film in the listed worldwide opening-day rankings. Its ₹140.75 crore total remained below Devara at ₹142.02 crore, Salaar at ₹158.12 crore and KGF 2 at ₹159 crore.
The higher openings in the same comparison included Kalki 2898 AD with ₹177.72 crore, Baahubali 2 with ₹217 crore, RRR with ₹223 crore, Dhurandhar 2 with ₹226.60 crore and Pushpa 2 with ₹275.01 crore.

Cast, languages and certification
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features Yash in the lead role. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria also play important roles in the film.
The film was released in theatres in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English. It also drew attention for its intimate scenes and for sequences involving the portrayal of women through s and dialogue.
The Central Board of Film Certification approved Toxic without cuts and awarded it an ‘A’ certificate.
