The allotment of the Tempsens Instruments IPO is expected today, Tuesday, after strong demand from investors. Applicants who bid for shares may be able to find out whether they received an allotment through the registrar’s website or the online platforms of NSE and BSE.

The company’s shares could be listed on NSE and BSE on 28 August. Market interest has also been supported by activity in the grey market, where the issue’s premium has moved above 100% of the IPO’s upper price band.

Issue drew heavy subscription

The Tempsens Instruments IPO was open for subscription from 20 August to 24 August 2026. It received total subscription of 184.07 times. The retail portion was subscribed 60.69 times, while the QIB and NII categories recorded subscription of 302.88 times and 314.44 times, respectively.

The company raised 650 crore rupees through the IPO. With demand significantly exceeding the number of shares available, allotment is expected to determine which applicants will receive shares.

How applicants can check allotment

Applicants have three online options for checking their Tempsens Instruments IPO status:

  • KFin Technologies: Open the IPO status page of KFin Technologies and select Tempsens Instruments from the dropdown menu. Enter any one of the requested details: PAN, application number or DP/Client ID. The allotment status will then appear on the screen.
  • NSE: Visit the NSE IPO application status page, select Equity under Issue Type and choose Tempsens Instruments. Enter the application number and PAN, then submit the details to view the status.
  • BSE: Open the BSE IPO application checking page and select Equity under Issue Type. Choose Tempsens Instruments, enter the application number or PAN, complete the captcha and click Search.

GMP points to possible listing gain

At 10 am on Tuesday, the grey market premium for Tempsens Instruments was 317 rupees. The company had fixed the IPO’s upper price band at 300 rupees per share. On that basis, the premium was about 106%.

If the prevailing GMP remains unchanged until listing, the shares could list at around 617 rupees. That would indicate a possible listing gain of about 106% compared with the 300-rupee issue price.

Grey market premium is an unofficial indicator and can change before listing. The possible listing price is therefore not guaranteed, and the GMP alone does not establish the actual market performance of the shares.
