Shares of 17 companies could be in focus when the market opens on 24 August after several corporate developments emerged following Friday’s close. The updates span possible block deals, shareholder approvals, fund-raising, project wins, stake changes and regulatory observations.

Business performance and corporate approvals

Suzlon Energy reported consolidated revenue of 16,679 crore rupees and EBITDA of 3,022 crore rupees in its FY26 annual report. The company said it delivered 2,456 MW in India during the year, its highest annual delivery so far. Its net cash position stood at 2,384 crore rupees as of 31 March 2026.

Reliance Industries said shareholders approved three proposals with the required majority on 20 August 2026. The resolutions include significant related-party transactions involving RIL and its subsidiaries. Shareholders also approved an expansion of the company’s object clause to cover the production, processing, sale and distribution of ammonium nitrate, explosives, explosive materials, fertilisers and agro-chemicals.

GHCL said the western zone bench of the National Green Tribunal in Pune dismissed all three appeals challenging the environmental and forest clearances for its greenfield soda ash project in Gujarat. The company describes itself as the country’s second-largest soda ash producer.

Possible block deals

Lenskart Solutions is expected to remain in focus on Monday, 24 August, amid information about a possible large block deal in its shares. The deal may take place at a 4% discount to the previous closing price. The reported transaction size is about 300 million dollars, or approximately 2,900 crore rupees.

Meesho could also see a block deal. Y Combinator may sell more than 1% of its stake in the e-commerce company, according to the reported information. The proposed transaction involves 1.05% of the company for about 957.5 crore rupees, with a block price of 197.5 rupees per share.

Energy and infrastructure developments

Power Grid Corporation of India said it was declared the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding process for establishing an inter-state transmission system for renewable energy projects in Gujarat. The specified tariff for the project is 822.91 crore rupees per year.

NTPC Green Energy said its wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, secured 500 MW in a bid conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India. The capacity was awarded at a tariff of 6 rupees per kilowatt hour. The electronic auction concluded on 21 August 2026.

Fund-raising and securities updates

Bank of Baroda completed the process of raising an additional 40 crore US dollars through senior unsecured fixed-rate bonds with a five-year tenor.

Axis Bank received final listing approval for its 30 crore-dollar senior notes from the Global Securities Market of India International Exchange and the debt securities market of NSE IFSC.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises allotted 20,94,47,805 fully convertible warrants to Sunbright Mauritius Investment Limited, a company linked to the promoter group. The warrants were allotted on 21 August 2026 at 126 rupees per warrant after receiving approvals from shareholders and the stock exchanges.

Apollo Micro Systems said the manager of its open offer had received a letter from SEBI. The letter concerns the company’s proposed open offer to acquire up to 1.40 crore fully paid-up equity shares of Premier Explosives.

Regulatory and compliance developments

JSW Cement received a show-cause notice for a GST demand of 81.03 crore rupees from the office of the Additional Commissioner, Central Tax, in Guntur. The company received the notice on 20 August 2026, and it relates to the period from FY2020-21 to FY2022-23.

Edelweiss Life Insurance Company, the insurance business of the Edelweiss group, received a warning from IRDAI over non-compliance with regulations. The company has also been barred from opening a new business office for six months from the date of the order.

Natco Pharma said the USFDA inspected its finished-dosage-form facility in Hyderabad between 17 and 21 August 2026. After completing the inspection, the regulator issued a Form 483 containing 4 observations.

Caplin Point Laboratories said the USFDA issued a Form 483 after an unannounced inspection at one of its manufacturing units. The inspection took place from 13 to 21 August 2026 and resulted in 10 observations.

Choksi Laboratories said the USFDA completed an inspection of its central laboratory in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, between 17 and 20 August 2026. The inspection resulted in 4 observations.

Stake-sale update

ICICI Bank reduced its holding in Shree Renuka Sugars by 2.17%. The bank sold a total of 4,61,98,815 equity shares in the company.
