Higher education has received an allocation of ₹55,727.22 crore for FY 2026-27. This represents an increase of ₹5,649.27 crore, or 11.28%, over FY 2025-26.
The Department of School Education & Literacy’s allocation is ₹4,990 crore higher than its allocation in BE 2025-26. The increase amounts to 6.35%.
