Authorities demolished several structures outside Pakistan’s High Commission in New Delhi on Thursday after an inspection found that they extended beyond the mission’s approved boundary.

The action was carried out with the help of a JCB machine. Agencies removed structures and barricades built along the lane outside the High Commission, including arrangements near the visa section that had been installed to manage queues.

Following the operation, debris was visible outside the diplomatic mission. The material included broken iron railings and a gate, bent metal frames, roofing sheets, bricks, concrete and pieces of plaster.

The structures were removed after officials determined that they had been built outside the area approved for the High Commission. The action focused on installations located along the lane outside the mission.

The queue-management arrangements near the visa section were among the facilities dismantled during the operation. The available report did not provide further details about the inspection or identify the agencies involved.
