The Shatrujeet Brigade conducted a specialised exercise demonstrating advanced helicopter-based combat capabilities, including rapid deployment techniques and coordination with Indian Air Force assets.
A key feature of the exercise was the Mi-17 V5, which was used in an underslung airlift involving LSV and RTTS. The demonstration brought together helicopter movement, airborne insertion and coordinated deployment activity.
Focus on rapid deployment
The exercise showcased techniques designed to move soldiers quickly by air. It also highlighted the coordination required between the brigade and Indian Air Force assets during such operations.
The underslung airlift of LSV and RTTS formed a central part of the demonstration. Alongside the Mi-17 V5 airlift, the exercise featured specialised methods including STIE and slithering.
Together, the activities demonstrated the Shatrujeet Brigade’s helicopter-based combat capabilities and its ability to conduct multiple forms of airborne deployment in a coordinated exercise.
