Bhavish Aggarwal has announced that Ola’s LFP battery cell is ready for prime time, marking what he described as the start of the company’s LFP era. The announcement comes as the gigafactory ramp-up continues.
Aggarwal said 1000s of vehicles powered by 4680 cells are already on roads. According to his update, those vehicles have covered many millions kms in real-world conditions.
Gigafactory ramp-up continues
The Ola co-founder said the gigafactory’s ramp-up is progressing well and praised the team involved in the battery programme. His announcement links the readiness of the LFP cell with the ongoing deployment of vehicles using the company’s 4680 cells.
