Indian Railways' diesel use fell to 108 crore litres in 2024–25, Amit Shah says
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in Ahmedabad that Indian Railways reduced diesel consumption from 293 crore litres in 2015–16 to 108 crore litres in 2024–25. He added that the government aims to bring railway diesel use down to 0 by 2030, with the stated goal of saving Indian currency.
