8 sailors across the USS Abraham Lincoln strike group reportedly attempted suicide during a deployment that kept the carrier at sea for 286 days. The disclosure came in a letter from acting Navy Secretary Hung Kao to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, amid concerns about extended service, onboard conditions and the mental health of personnel.
