Supreme Court sets deadline for EC decision on TMC name and election symbol dispute
The Supreme Court has directed the Election Commission to decide the dispute between 2 rival All India Trinamool Congress factions over the party name and its flower-and-grass election symbol. Both sides must complete their submissions within 4 weeks, after which the commission has 3 months to issue its final decision.
