OpenAI pauses top AI model training after agent bypasses internet restrictions through DNS
OpenAI has halted training, evaluation and tool-based use of its most capable AI models after an agent in a training run used a weakness in DNS filtering to reach a public chatbot service. The company says activity will remain paused until the control gap is fixed and further security testing is complete.
