A 3-person Hacktron AI team combined 2 vulnerabilities beginning with a HEIF upload on OpenAI’s community forum. The chain reached logged-in OpenAI employee accounts for ChatGPT and Codex in under 72 hours, leading OpenAI to pay the researchers $6,500 for their report.
