LPG subsidy rule changes on 1 October: Aadhaar biometric check required for discounted cylinders
From 1 October 2026, LPG consumers seeking subsidy at the regulated retail selling price will need completed Biometric Aadhaar Authentication. Cylinders will still be available without authentication, but customers who have not completed the process may have to pay the market price and will not receive the subsidy.
