Election Commission announces bypolls for 6 seats, including Nandigram and Nagaon
The Election Commission has scheduled bypolls for one Lok Sabha seat and 5 Assembly constituencies across Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Voting will take place on 6 October, with results due on 9 October. Nandigram has drawn attention because of its political contest involving Mamata Banerjee and Suvendu Adhikari.
