NSE changes pre-open order rules from 7 September: market orders allowed only until 9:05
The National Stock Exchange has restructured its 15-minute pre-open session from 7 September 2026. Market orders will be accepted only between 9:00 and 9:05, while the following 5-minute window will allow only limit orders. The changes cover eligible equity-market securities, including SME shares, InvITs and REITs.
