Sagar spurious liquor deaths rise to 12; 25 patients hospitalised, 5 officers suspended
Twelve people have died in Sagar’s Banda area after suspected consumption of spurious liquor, while 25 patients remain hospitalised. Police have registered cases against 30 named accused, detained 10 people and sealed 7 liquor shops as investigators examine suspected methyl alcohol contamination and a possible supply link to Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh.
