Pakistan seeks international intervention to restore Indus Waters Treaty with India
Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has appealed for international intervention after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty in April 2025. He described the Indus river system as vital to more than 25 crore people and linked it to agriculture, food security, electricity generation and the economy, while India maintains that normal implementation depends on action against cross-border terrorism.
