Iran’s Qassem Basir missile raises reported threat to US aircraft carriers
A report describes Iran’s Qassem Basir as a 2-stage solid-fuel missile with a reported range of about 1,200 kilometres and re-entry speed of up to Mach 11. It says the weapon could challenge US Navy ships, although evidence of damage to the vessels named in the account has not emerged.
